(5,902 posts)But I suspect that, privately, the "virtues" of switching to all-electronic voting system as quickly as possible is suddenly finding lots of fans in the Democratic Party leadership.

(23,156 posts)I've made a couple of small contributions of my own.
I know from personal experience how much little contributions matter.
Some years back I participated in a fundraiser for Special Olympics. Of the fifteen or so of us who were raising money, I came in second in largest amount raised, and I think it was about $125.00. We'd been given a guideline of about $7/per contribution. I think only one person gave me that much, and only after he asked and I told him that amount. Most people gave a dollar or so, or the spare change they had available. At first I was discouraged, thinking it wasn't worth it, but it added up. Oh, and the person who beat me raised about $300. She worked at the racetrack in our city, and her method was to approach the jockeys after they'd won a race. Smart lady.
Anyway, while the amounts I'm quoting seem trivial, it's still true that the average contribution to Bernie is only about thirty bucks. It really does add up.
