stay in.

I heard that Chris Matthews is being a dick. We all know that his wife is trying to get a Congressional seat and Chris is just being a pansy panderer.

He has no credibility.

It was interesting listening to Rubio, Cruz and Kasich arguing that they are in it for the long haul. Rubio said that he cares about this country and he will fight until the end to win--he doesn't care.

It's pretty difficult for anyone to make the case that Bernie should drop out--when you have three Republican candidates openly fighting like hell to take this to the convention.

It sure makes it more difficult for the media to argue that Bernie should get out--especially when he is winning states.

Melissa Harris-Perry Claims ‘Culture of Fear’ at MSNBC During Twitter Explosion

We might have found the Kanye West of cable news.

Melissa Harris-Perry's tenure at MSNBC came to an end this week when she refused to host her show after being bumped for political coverage on numerous occasions in recent weeks.

Now Harris-Perry has taken to Twitter to bash MSNBC president Phil Griffin, apologize to former colleagues, and accuse MSNBC of having a "culture of fear." She also posted some charts about diversity in news and credited the work of her staff.

See her tweets below.
more at link.

She was a Bernie supporter too.

Joy Reid gone. Martin Basir. Gone. Rev Al moved to Sunday morning when most people are sleeping. There was a guy named Lee that was not white- not sure what his nationality is - a fill in on the weekends. Craig Melvin? Where is he? There was a handsome black guy that was covering Ferguson. Where is he? All that's really left us Tamron.

Interesting isn't it?

more power to melissa! she is correct and justified in the msnbc realignment and hostile work environment. i support her regardless which candidate she supports. i personally understand the experience of being a professional working in a hostile setting and being attacked as "angry" "uppity", etc.. of course, those words are no longer pc - so now, it's being a 'kanye west' or a 'diva'. fuck that shit.

Chris Hayes, Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell have censored themselves so much and talk so much about the Trump and the rest of the Republicans that they miss whole swathes of real news they should be commenting on.

I think a big problem is that the horserace politics that fuels the MSM happens over such an enormous stretch of time. Close on 2 yrs. That's ... my sainted mother would say it's unacceptable.

In Canada the time between the dropping of the writ saying the election is on and the election itself is approx 10 wks.

So it happened in a blink while the circus to the south invented "BernieBros" and went Trump-magic, wondering why it all got so fucked up.

________

I think that once one has the idea of "democracy" it becomes a matter of process, of ways to implement it for best effect. I read a wiki account of democracy in Columbia, SA, after a coup that overthrew a democratically elected government. The democracy invented after the coup was an agreement to implement a duopoly portraying an antagonism between self-styled left/right liberal/conservative parties, where the coupmasters, the oligarchs, shared power because they shared the same objectives w.r.t. economic overlordship. It didn't work so well.

I wonder, is it because they didn't learn well enough from the example of the USA? Is it an intrinsically unstable pattern, because it's dependent on exploitation?

The current delegate count headline on CNN includes superdelegates in order to give the impression that she has an insurmountable lead. MSNBC is also going with these totals on the screen. Right....because we all know that all of the early racked up superdelegates didn't switch to Obama in '08 when the will of the voters was said and done. The screen also erroneously says "Trump and Clinton Win Big on Super Tuesday."

A major takeaway from the election cycle to this point is the MSM can spin as often as they want, but the fact is that many voters are preferring Sanders...enough to give him very convincing wins in various states. As the campaign moves away from traditionally republican states, this can only be seen as a great sign for the future of the Sanders candidacy.
