MSNBC is at it again

From today's MTP Daily:

Chuck Todd: "I think Bernie Sanders seems to be on board with the idea that he will go after Trump and lay off of Hillary Clinton. Do you buy that?"

Anna Greenberg, "Democratic Pollster": "I do. I think his speech sounded like a concession speech. He said this is about the movement, this is about the conversation, the big issues and he really didn't mention her at all. There was no contrast between him and Hillary Clinton, and I think this is going to be about pushing the people who give money to him to push this message, he still has a lot of money to spend."

Chuck Todd: "Mark, you could argue, we've said this before, he's already won. Hillary Clinton sounds more like Bernie Sanders today certainly than she did 6 months ago."

A bit later, from Anna Greenberg:

"I think Bernie Sanders can be very classy, and has been classy, for example in the debates. (with a smirk) Not all of his supporters have been classy."

Chuck Todd:
"Remember all the PUMAs, they rallied around Hillary then."

I felt like I was watching Pravda. I saw a portion of Bernie's speech last night and most of his speech today from Portland, Maine in which he was plenty critical of Hillary Clinton. There is no suggestion on his part whatsoever that he is conceding defeat. This is pure misinformation by MSNBC, Chuck Todd and a "pollster" who is clearly in Hillary's camp.

Anna Greenberg is a partner at Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research.

http://www.ibtimes.com/why-2016-candidates-are-using-their-first-names-campaign-trail-2112643

"Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, a Democratic polling firm that worked on former President Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign"

Stan Greenberg, who has a long time relationship to Bill Clinton and was his pollster in his 1992 campaign for President, is also a partner with the same firm. (Is he Anna Greenberg's father? I didn't find anything on that online.)

On Stan Greenberg, from his Wiki page:

<Greenberg's current and former corporate clients include British Petroleum, British Airways, Monsanto Company and General Motors.>

<In May 2010 Greenberg was linked to a controversy involving White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. As a House member, Emanuel had lived for five years in a rent-free D.C. apartment jointly owned by Greenberg's wife, Democratic House member Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut, and Greenberg. During this time, Emanuel was chairman of a committee that awarded large polling contracts to Greenberg's firm.[2]

Following the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill, Greenberg's work for BP became controversial. Greenberg's firm has been called a "prime architect" of BP's effort to rebrand itself as a green petroleum company.[2] As early as 2002, critics had deemed that effort "greenwashing".[3]>

And it could just as well have been the U.S. media talking about Hillary's blowout Super Tuesday and it was looking like Hillary versus Trump.

That makes me laugh. She won states that will NEVER fork over their Electoral College votes to a Democrat in the Fall.

Granted, Bernie did win Oklahoma, which is the same, but he's beaten her in in two Northeastern states, tied her in another, tied her (or lost by single digits) in two swing states, beaten her in a northern mid-west state and beaten her, solidly, in another mid-western swing state. He's beating or keeping up with her where it counts.

And her likely father is simply a grifter with Clinton connections.

I have DIRECTV and set up custom channel selections where I block all the channels I never watch so I won't have as much to scroll through when I want to see what is on TV. Until about 3 or 4 months ago when the primary season was approaching, I had Fox, MSNBC and CNN blocked for several years. I probably should have kept them blocked.

But it has been educational. I understand what Bernie is talking about when he references the corporate media. I think it has gotten much worse in the last 7-8 years since I watched the 24 hour news channels. I think MSNBC and CNN are now worse than Fox. With Fox, there's little effort to disguise where they're coming from. MSNBC and CNN try to pretend like they're objective while they're twisting information, making baseless assertions, and talking to the professional spinners without mentioning whose side the spinners are on.

I've had a Roku Box since they first came out and always watched Democracy Now, Thom Hartmann, Free Speech TV. They used to carrt CNN International (which was nothing like the CNN here in the U.S.) but dropped it. But, they have International News Channels which seem to report more accurate news about the U.S. than we do here at home. I like "France 24," English and a few others.

MSNBC has fired lots of their people and CNN is still the "War Channel" imho...along with Wolf Blitzer who never has much to contribute that is interesting. It seems that its "All Trump" without anything else of substance. I never watched Fox but from what I've read about them it does seem that MSNBC & CNN have gone far away from any disguise of being objective.

I thought she looked to be about the right age based on Stan Greenberg's age and figured it would be quite a coincidence for an unrelated Greenberg to also be a partner in the firm.

But here's something really funny I came across while looking into this earlier. What Stan Greenberg has been advocating that the Democratic presidential candidates should be running on is much closer to Bernie's platform than Hillary's. Hillary basically has said she would be Obama's 3rd term, which is exactly what Greenberg says Democrats shouldn't do in 2016 based on his reading of the electorate. He says the problems are much deeper than have been acknowledged and candidates should be addressing them. His recent book "America Ascendant" calls for a new progressive era.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/stan-greenberg-america-ascendant_us_56326a6ae4b0631799118c83

<Bill Clinton's former pollster thinks it's a mistake for Democratic presidential candidates to essentially run for President Barack Obama's "third term."

"That's not what the country wants. It's not what the base of the Democratic Party wants," said longtime Democratic pollster Stanley Greenberg, whose past clients include Clinton and Vice President Al Gore. "The Democratic Party is waiting for a president who will articulate the scale of the problems we face and challenge them to address it."

Greenberg thinks it's time to go bigger.>

and according to today's news from Connecticut, she's heading to Flint, MI with a bunch of other "progressive" members of Congress to stump for Hillary ahead of the upcoming Michigan primary.

http://ctmirror.org/2016/03/02/delauro-to-travel-to-flint-ahead-of-key-michigan-primary/

<U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-3rd District, will join House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and nearly two dozen other progressive Democrats on a trip to Flint, Mich., on Friday to rally behind the victims of the city’s water crisis – and perhaps try to give Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton a boost.>

The whole family is on board! No telling how much polling business is headed to Greenberg Quinland Rosner Research and how much federal money will be headed to the 3rd Congressional District of Connecticut if Hillary becomes President.

Bernie won 3 of 4 blue states on Super Tuesday and tied in the fourth.

This is absolute proof that many people are not getting their information from the old media corporations any more. Insta, FB, Twitter, Youtube, and the general internet are steadily moving into the dominant positions. Word of mouth on steroids.

As we all know, this is a key reason for Bern's success.

For example, his fundraising operation: Internet-based.

Another example: Young Turks' monthly views are 51% of all media views on Youtube according to Young Turks, if I heard them correctly.

I LOVE that he is calling out in his speeches the "media establishment."

Imagine the old media monopoly of past decades going against Bernie. It's a wonder FDR was ever elected in the first place. But look what it took....
