With more than 90 percent of precincts reporting, the Maine Democratic Party results showed that Sanders claimed 64 percent of the vote to Clinton's 36 percent. On Saturday, as Common Dreams reported, Sanders also won in Nebraska and Kansas. In the four total contests over the weekend, Clinton's sole victory came in Louisiana.
In a statement late on Sunday, Sanders thanked voters in Maine where he said the large margin of victory shows he can be competitive nationwide. "With another double-digit victory, we have now won by wide margins in states from New England to the Rocky Mountains and from the Midwest to the Great Plains," declared Sanders. "This weekend alone we won in Maine, Kansas and Nebraska. The pundits might not like it but the people are making history. We now have the momentum to go all the way to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia."

(1,021 posts)That being said, the main talking point from DU:HRC Squad was that even with Maine he would still come out with a net deficit in delegates for the weekend. That turned out to be untrue, and in a way that I've come to expect, they suddenly fell silent about it.
It boils down to Land Line phones IMO. You think after how in 2008 how Obama basically built his camp up by using the Internet that HRC camp would actually of taken a look into it. Heck she took looks at 2004 with Swiftboat and used that on Sanders Civil Rights Activism.

(6,440 posts)Her Majesty's loyal subjects have been crowing over Nate giving him a 1-7% chance of winning a bunch of future states, and I wondered how that compared with his previous track record this primary. ISTR that he always gives Bernie a single-figure percentage chance, but I wanted to double-check that. If my memory is correct, then it's amazing that he won any states at all.

(1,021 posts)but as for whether they have ever gotten it wrong about him winning, period, I have no idea.
