So Hillary fans have to skew her donor data by making multiple small donations?

Right here on DU, the truth comes out. A DU-er reports that s/he gave Hillary 20 $10 donations so as to make it appear that Hillary has more small donors.

Crazy.

I assumed they were trying to build up their stash of individual donors since Bernie was doing so well.

I asked them to take my name off their mailing list (I was hearing not only from Chelsea but from Bill!)

They sent out emails asking (forcefully) for $1 donations - to try to offset the numbers and make her ratios look better. She's still only at around $100 rather than Bernie's $27 even after all that.
