In other places on the interwebs I see people gooing and gaaing over the possibility of a Sanders - Clinton or a Clinton-Sanders ticket, and I keep on trying to explain to them that it just doesn't work that way. Someone like Katie Couric really ought to know better.

It was a big news day it's gonna get lost under all the threads about Hillary lying and the violence at the Trump rally. But, IMO this is a very great thread.

Even if Bernie went and got himself on the Clinton ticket, it's not like it would change her politics or make them any more palatable to me. I can recognize when I'm being pandered to. A Clinton/Sanders ticket gets the same result as a HRC/Anyone ticket...one more vote switching from Sanders to Jill Stein. I'm voting for the best progressive populist candidate on my ballot. Hillary's kind of far down the list.

Can Katie Couric not see that?
