Defending and re-writing the Reagans' record on AIDS is more than just a slap in the face to the LGBTQ community, it's like re-opening the wounds that were deliberately inflicted during the 1980s. Nancy Reagan denied her own friend's dying request for help simply because of his sexual orientation. They were monsters and retroactively defending their behavior bestows tacit approval for the behavior and she knows it.

This is indefensible. It really is disturbing in its callous disregard for the victims then and now.
