Sanders has 50 years of consistency. He is THE candidate for the Era of Transparency

We are entering the age of transparency and many of the old top down, one-to-many models are crumbling as peer-to-peer flattens the world. What started with Howard Dean found success with Obama. Now Sanders seems to be Phase 3.

Sanders has been doing the same thing for 40 years -- which makes him the candidate best suited to transparency. In the old world, the one-to-many media dominated world they could have shut Sanders down. All the crap they are pulling would have worked it's evil magic. But really, after the "Dean Scream" in 2004 it is hard to find an example of the media being successful in their attempts at character assassination.

Later in 2004 CNN hosted the Swiftboating of John Kerry but that didn't stop him the way Dean was stopped by their hit job. Obama had a rapid response team and used the internet to mobilize and correct MSM memes. Now we have Sanders who is showing us how there are two separate cultures in among voters. The first is the old one, characterized by treating the MSM as the ultimate referee and scoreboard. The second one is characterized by the transparency and instant fact checking of social media.

Since the Sanders campaign is built on social media it is nearly impervious to attacks coming from the MSM. They only hurt themselves with their photo caption changing and easily traced connections. They bern their own credibility at the altar of business as usual not seeing or perhaps not knowing what to do about, an electorate that increasingly sees the media as enablers of a broken system.

This is part of the problems for Team Clinton. Their polls, like in Michigan, don't see us coming because we don't have landlines. Their ads, surrogates and attacks either don't reach us because we don't have cable or are quickly debunked by social media. In some ways the Sanders Revolution is the overthrow of old media. We no longer look to the box for our scoreboard and truth but to each other. The most powerful source of validation is no longer TV and even less print. It is us.

And that's huuuuge.
