Anyone who would use "Democrat" as an adjective instead of as a noun is not a real Democrat and can't leave the party he or she has never been in. Just saying.

or as Lieutenant Governor, for that matter. I just didn't vote in those two races, so I could still say I'd never voted for a Repuke. It's just that my pet peeve is seeing "Democrat" used as an adjective, especially in a Democratic Underground post. If I remember correctly, it was Newt Gingrich who first urged opponents of the Democratic Party to use it that way, as a verbal or written sneer, like "don't shop at that Jew store." "Democrat establishment" is the same thing.

the party establishment is doing in Florida and other places?

I am disgusted with people that put party before Country but the DNC as a group within a larger organization even goes one step further, they even put themselves before the party. And sadly that seems to be OK with many on DU.

There doesn't seem to be anything democrat"ic" about the DNC. Yes small "d" is appropriate for this meaning.

Grow up you grammar Nazi. Turns out that some people who are less familiar with the machine don't describe it in terms that the DNC wants. Also turns out that the DNC is filled with rich, white older people who are not typically in categories discriminated against. Also turns out that when you're a super powerful, super privileged group who cries foul every time someone in a very informal discussion like facebook violates these policies you can't help but dismiss them. And for some reason people are wondering why the Dems are in trouble? Here's a solution you can try: Don't be a dick.

Corrupt to the core. Leaving it after I vote for Grayson in the August 30 primary. No more votes for DINOs. I will still be a Democrat in principle, but i won't be associated with those who have abandoned those principles.

And, if they are so fucking sure it is numerically impossible for Bernie to win, why are the vitriol and dirty tricks even needed?

A friend of mine, a former Dem Congressional nominee. got pushed around, and thrown out of the 2007 Florida Democratic Party Convention for having the audacity to show up with a couple of John Edwards signs at their little Hillaryfest.
