Like a taco, using frybread instead of tortilla.
Invented to use the kind of cheap food the government sent to reservations in exchange for occupying the whole land. Many of the treaties promised annual delivery of so many blankets, so many barrels of flour, so many barrels of lard, so many bushels of salt, and so on. Flour + Lard + salt = frybread. Add some toppings and it's an Indian taco.
