(31,464 posts)No mincing of words; Trump is a liar, you cannot fact check him because there are never any facts. Go Bernie!
SamKnause
(13,088 posts)I just got a phone call from him.
Okay, it was a recorded message of his voice.
This is the first time I have ever received a call from a presidential candidate.
I will be voting for him tomorrow.
FEEL THE BERN !!!!!!!!

(15,703 posts)Trade bills should require the foreign company to pay a living wage. To have Whirlpool shut down an American factory paying $20 an hour and move to Mexico and pay 25 cents an hour is wrong. Whirlpool should be required to pay a living wage in Mexico.
SamKnause
(13,088 posts)He said the trade deals hurt Mexican and American workers.
He wants equality and fairness for all workers.
LiberalArkie
(15,703 posts)It would up to some organization to figure out what the real living wage for each country is.

SamKnause
(13,088 posts)I really don't understand your point.
Cleita
(75,480 posts)they would be more expensive in the store than American made goods. That way imported goods didn't affect the job market. When I lived in Chile, the government tried to stimulate domestic production of goods by putting on tariffs so steep on imports no one would bring foreign made goods into the country. So the bootleggers did a brisk business because there wasn't the financing available back then to build factories at home. So this is how a well intentioned plan can backfire. You have to think of all the angles.
I think global human rights organizations can work on getting foreign workers in foreign countries decent wages by encouraging labor unions. This will never happen as long as our American manufacturers outsource their production and the factory owners are doing well by using slave labor by selling to us. We need to fix our labor problem here first by bringing back tariffs and forcing manufacturers to start making their goods here again and bring the labor union movement back.

(2,968 posts)I think it is difficult to give specific answers to
questions like that. Behind him would be a
committee and other people involved. He doesn't want
to be pinned down. The other candidates haven't gone
into this much detail. The Repubs say nothing and Hillary
says can't do it.

You wouldn't want to hurt your wife's chance of being elected to the Senate.
Hillary is supporting your wife's campaign.

(5 posts)Tomorrow is an awesome opportunity to show the "strength in numbers" this campaign is building! Florida, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, and North Carolina can all go Bernie's way, so get excited and get pumped up for your candidate and do your last minute phone calls to people you know are undecided and win them over with the simple message that our candidate is the voice of the regular people, a champ for everyday folks, and goes to bat against big money which has no place in a "fair and balanced" democratic society!!!
And for motivation:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superdelegate#Comparison_to_pledged_delegates
In this poster's opinion, "superdelegates" as the term is used are not bound to stick with their pledges, according to that little bit of info. That said, if we can show our numbers tomorrow, is it possible to sway some of those votes our side? If our party is truly a voice of the people (and with this candidate it has never had a better opportunity), we could and should have a good chance to turn that tide too...every vote counts folks, get pumped up!!!

(13,088 posts)Chris is finally asking the hard questions.
SamKnause
(13,088 posts)After all the questions Chris thinks she is ready for Commander in Chief.
This is such a joke.
Chris do you not know Hillary's policy on college tuition and debt ???
Her polices are NOT better than Bernie's.
