The campaign was taking down volunteer-created canvassing/GOTV events. Happen to you?

We weren't able to maintain canvassing/GOTV events on berniesanders.com. We'd put them up, get a couple of signups (or not) and next time we'd look they were either "awaiting approval" indefinitely or blocked.

By Monday we were getting messages that they were only allowing official campaign-created events. That's fine if you live within an hour or so within campaign offices, but it stuns me that they would not let the grassroots rally locally via their website, when it had been encouraged before. This was the best way to get out the vote and they shut it down.

If this happened to you, what city/town were you in?

Not surprising. djean111 Mar 2016 #1
Why do you think it wasn't surprising? JudyM Mar 2016 #3
Because the DNC just did not want Bernie to even have a shot at winning. djean111 Mar 2016 #4

The OP is bullshit. Le Taz Hot Mar 2016 #6
The OP asks IF this happened to others. It happened to us in 4 towns. JudyM Mar 2016 #7
Probably did it because of Trump saying he was sending protestors to his rallies. n/t woodsprite Mar 2016 #2

This was in Ohio. Where city/town are your events in? JudyM Mar 2016 #8
California's Central Valley. Le Taz Hot Mar 2016 #9
Ok, that explains it - they're only doing it where the campaign has offices open. JudyM Mar 2016 #10

And, you will now see "Bernie didn't have grassroots events" oozing from the other side of some pretty big mouths.

Like castigating Bernie for not raising money for Democrats - but not giving him dates for fundraisers. Making sure Bernie did not get to use party infrastructure for anything. And when he DID fund-raise, the bloviated about him being in the company of the 1%.

Really, I am out of the party after the Aug. 30 primary here in Florida. The DWS crap is just too much for me to want to belong to the same team. She gets to openly embrace her GOP cronies, at the expense of Democrats running against them, and I am supposed to be a good and biddable little Democrat. Nope.

The campaign handles its own website, though... they were taking down their own volunteers' GOTV event postings!
