Bernie Sanders

We were disappointed by the results. We feel sad and even bitter, after all, we're so personally invested in him.
But please look at the bigger picture.
I realize that some people think that he doesn't have a chance. That's not the point. Win or not, he needs the strongest showing possible because the movement will continue long past the elections.
Bernie has now gathered a massive national following. He can't be stopped. We can't be stopped. This is just the beginning. The establishment is going to hear us. We will not be taken for granted.

(10,007 posts)One of the messages that is being sent during this primary is that suckling at the corporate teat is no longer acceptable and - more importantly - not necessary to run a viable campaign.
Another reason to keep fighting vigorously is to make corporate capitulation as costly and difficult as possible. Make Hillary fight and scrape for every inch.

In Illinois, Sanders won latinos narrowly, 50% to 49%. Illinois also had some early voting which started on February 29th, allowing voters to cast votes before Bernie had a chance to campaign. Illinois is Hillary's home state!
