(27,670 posts)Right to the heart. He talked about Oak flat and protecting sacred tribal lands around the country, and increasing tribal sovereignty, so many things.
Hit Latino immigration issues hard too. Great smackdowns of Trump and Arpaio!
The crowd was extremely diverse, had 3 Latino millennials in front of me in line (a woman with a Justica y Libertad patch on her denim jacket, a Dine' man with a code talker shirt a little ahead of me, 3 young Dine' women and their little brothers behind me, DeadHead millenials, lots of outdoorsy alternative types too. The venue was not large enough to seat everyone, and filled to capacity, so about 250 supporters were left outside the event area. So Bernie went outside and addressed the folks who couldn't get in first, and then came back inside and lit the place up. The Navajo Nation did a great job of accommodating everyone, with lots of Tribal police on hand for security.
I saw Bernie in Phoenix the day of the BLM surprise, and that was truly awesome, but tonight Bernie was emanating an aura of deep gravitas. I've never been prouder to support this very wise man, and honestly can't understand why everyone isn't voting for him.
We desperately need Bernie to lead our country.

(39,451 posts)Definitely going to find the video of it tomorrow and watch it.
I'm really enjoying seeing his commercials on tv and hearing them on the radio. Nice little bonus of primary week.
