Please don't Hillarysplain to meLast edited Sat Mar 19, 2016, 11:16 AM - Edit history (1)
There seems to be a lot of complaining of Bernie Sanders supporters Berniesplaing to people of color. This is propaganda, the Clinton campaign and the media are using this to silence Bernie and his supporters from getting Bernie's message out.
If they are calling Bernie and his supporters merely campaigning as Berniesplaining, I am going to call out the Hillarysplaining. I am a young African American Female in my 30s. I am tired of Clinton supporters saying I don't know my own mind or that I am sexist because I support Bernie Sanders. Bernie supporters are called Bernie Bros, cult members, Chinese Cultural Revolution guard members, cyber bullies, and so on. They keep on saying that we want ponies, rainbow, and unicorns, and that we are not serious. Hillary supporters demand respect from us, but they don't give us respect. They dismiss us, but they demand our vote. All Bernie Sanders supporters want is a fairer country, and we believe Bernie Sanders is the best person for the job, that is our right, and we deserve respect. I can not support Hillary Clinton, because I believe she will led us into another large, long term war. I believe our republic will be in danger is another war is fought. Bernie Sanders is the only candidate who I believe will not led our country to war.

1. Excellent post, malletgirl02!
I always feel I'm back in third grade whenever a $hillary bully comes by to steal my lunch money, and then the teacher blames me for it.

2. "A fairer country" may be the one thing that people who are heavily invested ...
... in the current system fear the most.
They will fight tooth and nail to preserve their advantages. They don't care who they hurt, even if, in the long run, it includes themselves and their own children. I'm not at all surprised to see Clinton and her supporters try every trick in the book in this primary. There's a pretty good chance of her winning this primary, and, if she does, I don't know how we go about cleaning up the mess she will have made of the Democratic Party in the process of doing so. I'm sorry if I drifted off topic here. |

5. yes, and we are "dreamers" and "children"....
![]() MLK was a dreamer (so he said)-- but he had his finger on the pulse of a nation and a sense of right timing for making big social changes. MLK knew how to put dreams into action. "We want a fairer country." Bottom line. And it is NOT too much to demand. Right --we get no respect but they want our vote. We can expect no changes of substance in return. How does that work? Totally in agreement that Hillary will perpetuate the war economy, the wars for profit-- draining resources at home, causing untold death and destruction, never solving anything. ![]() |

6. I agree.
The worst part of it is that it is not just a few passionate Hillary supporters. If that were the case, I would say that all campaigns have such supporters and is par for the primary course. BUT, instead of being objective, the freaking media goes out of its way to marginalize Bernie and his supporters and pretty much repeats Clinton's campaign propaganda and acts just like the Clinton supporters you described.

7. Hillary convinced me that her first instinct is to bomb countries if her Foundation can benefit.
For as long as we have a real Democrat in the race, Bernie Sanders, he has my support.

12. I completely agree
My main reason for supporting Bernieis foreign policy..Hillary's stinks. She will get us into another war, of this I am convinced. Obama is too smart to be goaded into it, but she damn sure tried.

13. no to wars! that's right...
my #1 reason for not supporting hillary...and wall street ....and the environment issues (fracking, pipelines, etc.)...and the flip-flopping...and how mean spirited and rude she has been to bernie with lies and attacking his supporters.

16. The AA group is very pro Hillary
I read a post from another African American Bernie supporter saying they got banned from that group. I'm sorry but, with the climate on DU as it is I don't want to risk getting a hide or even a ban, because my post criticized Hillary Clinton.

And unfortunately the AA group won't. Sad that it is this way.
You could post it in GDP?. People do need to hear from you. We can't afford any more wars. |

15. I totally support Bernie and will vote for all other Democrats on my ballot, but not for Hillary.
That is my pledge.
Thanks to all the firm Bernie supporters. For me, Bernie's "revolution" is not so much a political revolution as a moral one. A moral revolution. And I do fear that Hillary will get us into another war. We need to watch the documents that the Obama administration plans to release on what happened in Argentina. |

Bernie is not a racist and his supporters aren't either. I don't know where the Hillarians get off claiming either of those false narratives. I'm glad you're not "with her" and her wars. Neither am I.
