Last night in Arizona, Bernie Sanders held a rally in a Navajo casino.
Sanders inadvertently made a deeply offensive remark. Via the Washington Post:
Washington has a very good football team but it doesnt have to be called the Redskins, Sanders said.
What the fuck? The Washington football team is terrible. They are a laughingstock among the football-minded and have been for many years. A young voter, such as myself, knows only a world in which the Washington football team is a horrible joke, slip-sliding across a ragged swamp field as its ashen fans look on in disgust and horror, mostly at themselves for even showing up in the first place, and as the teams moron owner plots, from his skybox, more schemes to wring cash out of the hopeless dupes below.

(9,933 posts)You think he's a fan? Grew up there. Feel bad for relatives. They finally got season tickets year I left for the west coast and the team has lost every year since. Really do need to shake off their owner somehow.
And change their name.

(8,812 posts)Kind of like when John Kerry called Green Bay's storied Lambeau Field "Lambert Field."
Egads! Who could trust a guy like that?
Of course, Hillary utterly distorted Ron and Nancy Reagan's shameful treatment of the HIV/AIDS crisis. (And later "apologized" for "misspeaking." But this is hugh. I'm series!
