to start digging into this story.

Niko House may be absolutely right, but he rambles so much in his videos that it is a bit hard to take him seriously, especially with the way he has been releasing info in drips and drabs, with frequent promises to provide additional names at some future point.

He is making very serious allegations, and extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

To whoever wrote this post…...Why don't you cut straight to the chase and go to Tad Devine with House's attacks? That would save you plenty of time and energy. From all I've seen from him and know about NC campaigns, this House kid is angry and frustrated and seeing conspiracy in mundane events that are common in primary season.

Tad Devine hired Aisha because she was likely the interview for NC with the most experience who was still available when they were ready to hire last Dec.

Sad that so many of you don't understand that decisions by state operatives are made in concert with national campaign, and when money gets shifted away from a state to shore up chances in one with greater payoff delegate wise, the state will be stuck making do with what they have been left.

Sanders performed ABOVE expectations, and now those who helped him do it are being attacked by an angry egoist incapable of processing the reality of primary battles.

He should have wet his feet with a local race - though he certainly is proving he hasn't the temperament for political campaigning on any level.

Aisha Dew did not work for Sanders to sabotage him in NC, and, in fact, raised his numbers way higher than they would have been without her influence.

when will you understand that lack of funding is not the only or primary complaint? It's like trying to get through to a Hillary supporter.

and that is what determines what event or local strategy gets focus or priority focus.

This newly engaged political volunteer's ego took a hit because HIS event and HIS ideas were not implemented. Welcome to politics. He doesn't belong in campaign work with his fragile condition.

When will YOU understand my entire point was NOT just about national campaign pulling funds in NC?

6. Emotional reasoning

I'm bipolar (24 years, medicated), but I saw some signs that reminded me of myself. As you mentioned, rapid speech, jumping from one topic to the other. I might add fixation on getting the story to Bernie at the top via broadcasting three YouTubes. It reminds me of being a bit hypomanic. The problem in such a situation is not that the facts don't add up or are untrue, but that the emotional pressure to get the story out overtakes cool thinking and checking the facts, in favor of connecting the dots, because the impact could be so huge, and that justifies taking shortcuts. And that process is gradual, so you might not notice it at first. Niko's explanation of the facts may very well be accurate, but they may not be the only explanation. His recommendation to not trust any state campaign staff BEFORE the story goes to Bernie seems at best premature and at worst reckless. Unintentional I'm sure.

What I would recommend is that someone who knows Niko sits together with him, puts everything down on paper, every claim every allegation, and then systematically check them out. You already did that to a degree. Plus, go through proper channels and make the campaign aware of it, and cut the youtube. I suppose that there should be some trustworthy people there.

Far be it from me to arm chair diagnose anyone. I've been at the receiving end of that and it is horrible. I'm just saying it reminds me of me being hypomanic at some point, which can be brought on by stress, lack of sleep, and others. Campaign activists sometimes burn the candle at both ends. Also, you don't have to have a diagnosis to fall victim of that emotional reasoning pattern. I've seen it elsewhere.

So in summary, check the story out thoroughly and take it very seriously, but have a plan in place how to communicate it to people in the campaign, so as to not create damage and mistrust by completely ad hoc broadcasting of unvetted allegations.

Thanks,

Thomas

but, from Young Dems and from Sanders original grassroots team in NC, they HAD to keep him at arm's length because of his erratic and often unstable condition.

What concerns me more, as a longtime DU member, is the eagerness of some DU members to believe this nonsense….because they WANT to believe it.

I support your approach to a proper airing and resolution. I expect the national campaign will weigh in on this soon enough.

Saying "nonsense" puts you into the realm of the conspiracy. Everybody needs to be able to save face. Having a mood that's a bit unstable is not a crime, it's not like he started a war in the middle east. Ideally, involve a mental health professional with experience in such issues. If there is a problem (and it seems minor), there are so many wonderful drugs out there, and in a few weeks there will be a motivated, experienced, and energetic Bernie volunteer back in action.
