Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forum[BERNIE GROUP] I Earned A Badge Of Honor Today!
Well, technically, it was last night. I made a post to our Bernie Group, asking for help documenting any new cheats or tricks the Hillary campaign employs. That, combined with a reposting of the link and the list it goes to, earned me my first hide!
Now, perhaps you're asking yourself why I see that as a Badge Of Honor... after all, no one should celebrate a community at odds with itself... and I certainly take no joy in the idea that hundreds upon hundreds of people have left DU, all because a small group of Hillary supporters have nothing but animosity toward Bernie Sanders... to the point where even the admin, a self described Hillary supporter, silenced us off the main page, at time he knew Bernie would be at his stride.
I see it as a Badge Of Honor because, those working at the behest of the establishment sought to silence me... and all they did was galvanize me! I see it as a badge of honor, because they've stood up and acknowledged me, through their actions, as a threat to all the lies and propaganda constantly thrown directly at us. In some small way, I've been deemed a threat to the establishment... and no matter how small that threat may be, I will absolutely take pride in that Badge Of Honor.
Thank you for the acknowledgment to whomever voted on the jury.
And thank you to all my Bernie Bros & Sisters... you guys give me strength and keep me honest!
I hope you all have a fantastic day today!
I know I will!

(15,237 posts)The protected groups here on DU are particularly loathsome. I have a speech ready for when I am told to my face that I am not a "True Democrat". I still am able to post on the Sanders Group. One must remember that DU is not the real world.
PS I have known the Clintons for more than 30 years and have spoken with them at Democratic functions many times. In a pinch may have to vote for one in 2016 definitely not my first choice.

(26,449 posts)I suggest your memory is a wee bit faulty as I ask if you would like to maintain the privilege of posting here.
Perhaps you should review the welcome thread and the links in it as a refresher.

(15,237 posts)I know people in Clinton campaign and they get an ear full from me ( not that it matters) I only know Sanders supporters ( no officials) and have no problems as long as he stays true to what he says. I do not make political decisions based on what supporters say. One thing that does push my button is the Clinton line "True Democrats" I have seen that here on DU and heard it from official Clinton people.
Add to that Bernie Sanders may become the only game in town in the near future.

(6,123 posts)...last week. It was the first time I was alerted on also. Mine was for quoting a Hillary supporter insulting us. Ironically, the insult was in the Bernie group and we didn't alert on it.
My take...they know Hillary isn't a slam dunk and tge alert team is out in force.

(15,237 posts)A friend in the real world told me the Clinton campaign is worried about legal problems and Sanders has appeal to Democrats.

(4,211 posts)I love the reply that Bill is just a private citizen, and can go where he pleases.
Maybe...but can he block the entrance to a polling station and campaign for Hillary with a Bull Horn?
Can he wear campaign buttons and Pins for Hillary INSIDE Polling Stations?
I think not.

(15,237 posts)Sanders group seems to be tolerant of me (so far) but I have a way of getting under the skin of Clinton people very quickly. My ban on the DU Hillary group is a source of amusement to a long time Hillary supporter and DNC type.
