Thousands feel the Bern in AV

LANCASTER - Thousands of people filled the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds' H.W. Hunter Pavilion and hundreds more had to stand outside as presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said corporate campaign contributions endanger American democracy.

Supporters wearing Sanders pins and carrying signs reading "A Future to Believe In" and "Feel the Bern" tossed pink balloons and chanted "Bernie! Bernie" and "Feel the Bern" waiting for the arrival of Sanders, who went on stage about 20 minutes behind schedule and told the crowd he can defeat Republican Donald Trump in November.

"If we come out with the Democratic nomination, Donald Trump is toast," Sanders said.
