Tonite on the stump, Bernie talked about something I've never heard him talk about before.

He asked the people in attendance if they ever showed up to their local democratic meetings.

Just a few people shouted yes.

Then he told them, that they are the future of the party. It is up to them to get involved, show up at these meetings & to think about running for local office, even to sit on a school board. He told them we need them to get involved so change can really happen.

I was in awe that he discussed that with them. He couldn't be more right.

He's such a good guy.

We need more thinkers who want problems solved rather than finding ways to cope with them.

One good example is DWS's support of payday lenders "because poor people need them". How sad is that? I'd rather see Democratic leaders solve this problem not by appeasing the loan shark business but by raising the minimum wage to a living wage, $15.00.

Can you imagine? Wow.

That would definitely change the party.

I could even be happy with that.

He's nothing more than a Stepford automaton of the DNC.

If they put someone like Bernie Sanders in there, it would be for the purpose of neutralizing him.

dfa remains a good organization, and my local chapter is as viable as ever. (and they are all feelin the bern)

let's not be throwing people under the bus on this.

doing many years ago - and very quietly. meanwhile, corporations began lulling the working class and voters with tv, shopping malls, soap operas, high calorie fatty & sugary foods, and hollywood sensations. and most of us fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

but, we will take it back - the older generations of progressives and our youth.
