Is the Bernie hate intensifying?

Is it just me, or .....
It seems the closer we get to the end of the primaries and the "new rules" here on DU that the posts attacking Bernie are increasing and getting more intense.

Clintonistas seem to want to dump a big pile of hate on Bernie (and us) in these final days.

IMHO

Secretary Clinton supporters say that "the math" shows she will get the nom. WHY are they so insecure about the outcome, and WHY are they insistent in pushing away potential votes in the GE by alienating Sanders' supporters with their nonsense?

I find them politically, and potentially FATALLY short-sighted.

However, I dig their angle. Secretary Clinton was once a First Lady who was dragged into a disturbing, personal narrative involving her husband. She (and her husband) persevered and she sought a valued Senate seat to be vacated by a beloved Senator (Pat Moynihan, who I met and knew personally). I campaigned and voted for her in 2000 and 2006.

I respect her. I may not be happy with some of the... untruths that fall from her lips from time to time, but, goddamn it, I will NOT let that fuckwad, piece of human excrement (sorry shit, I owe ya one) Drumpf get ANYWHERE near the White House.

If Secretary Clinton is the "trench" I have to climb into, then I'm into that trench. Just hope it doesn't play out like this...

arrogant and snarky people.

I lived among conservative liberal upper middle class people for many years. All Democrats, and they loved the Clintons. But they hated people who didn't keep their lawns mowed; they disparaged those who protested wars; and cruel judgmental gossip was a daily part of afternoon cocktails. It's not fair to generalize but not easy to shake impressions of a voting bloc either.

Bill Clinton. A lot of people, including Dems, just wanted the Clinton Administration to be over, which put Gore at a disadvantage from the get-go. I've seen Gore blamed for trying to distance himself from Bill Clinton, but that's as close as people ever get to it. That Gore had a reason for wanting to distance himself is not mentioned.

Instead, they're still using Nader as a boogeyman, as if that loudmouth had Svengali-like control of voter's minds. You know what? If it's not fucking obvious that Dems are better than Republicans, that's on us, not some sideshow act trying to get another 15 minutes in the limelight.

Sat Jun 4, 2016, 05:52 PM
Jun 2016

1. The presumptors (Is that a word? If not it should be.) are persuaded that their leader will prevail. (i.e. At the convention.)

2. The only way to make a serious challenge to Trump is to mollify, prior to incorporating, the Sanders wing of the party.

3. This will involve humiliating groveling and reluctant concessions: by the Clintonites, to the despised and resented Berners.

4. This prospect creates a harmful psychological conflict, which they ineptly attempt to resolved by upping the level of invective prior to the inevitable groveling phase.

It's an ego defense.

The double standard is sickening.

One of the reasons I'm glad Bernie is staying in the race is to unmask the contempt third way Democrats hold for the left and their determination to cut us out of the process entirely.

It's been a real eye opener and they can no longer claim to be practical people who disagree with our objectives but just want a more incremental approach.
