(19,694 posts)I am so deeply grateful for the gift he gave us, the hope, and all the sacrifice he's made to protect us from the ugly outcome of a Republican win.
If he fights on, so do I. If he thinks it's time to go back to DC and Vermont, who the hell am I to disagree?

I want a leader who watches out for us.
Bernie will do that.

(3,981 posts)Until the votes are counted at the convention, I want to see more discussion, and concession.
If someone can wangle a judicious press release the night before the convention, I won't be disappointed.
I have no problem with a woman as nominee. I have a problem with this woman, and I think Bernie has a much better chance of winning.
JDPriestly
(57,936 posts)(assuming he really will be the final Republican candidate). If she proves herself to be less than acceptably good at it, Bernie will get the nomination no matter the numbers, and no one will be disappointed for it. I'd like to see Bernie stay in the race until the final vote on the nominee.

(13,141 posts)The claims of her win, and especially how hard she worked to get it: Can she possibly believe this about herself?
I may be posting from a different dimension. People appear to be celebrating something that looks quite horrible to me. Due to the extreme horribleness of it, I don't believe it can actually happen. And I do believe she is in serious legal trouble.
On FB somebody was saying that Bernie would do what we want him to do. I don't know if that's true. I don't want him to concede. I don't care if he does the right thing according to establishment opinionators. I wrote and begged him never to ask us to vote for Hillary.

(1,214 posts)I hope if Sanders doesn't get the nomination that the energy of this movement won't be discarded. We need a more liberal gov't and the two "presumptives" won't provide that. I'm hoping that we can organize either a new party, or take the Democratic Party back from the clintons/dlc.

(76 posts)This phase of the campaign requires that superdelegates change their preference. It won't be easy, because they stand to lose their Hillary Victory Fund finance if they don't vote her way. Each of us must target the ones in our state and explain the urgency.
BTW I'm a noob here. To me, K&R is the definitive book on C programming. But here it's something else. I'm guessing R = Recommend. Is that a button somewhere? And what is K?

(5,668 posts)oh Boy. the Hillary Party wants to purge all non supporters and then want them back Uh thats not how it works and she doesn't know how math works. you need a certain number. She doesn't have that number. Floor fight. End result. If he would pull out that would be a mistake and Trump wins hands down. Because I think having Bernie in the race hurts Trump more than it would hurt Hillary. And I think he could win as the only Liberal winning. Naturally I'm saying this in this board. Anywhere else. There isn't much free speech. I'm not voting for the Conservadem. You wanna talk about a purge, the American voters have been purging Conservadems out of Congress since 2010. Thats the only purge I think will happen. I think DU is smarter than Hillary supporters who want to purge anyone who won't bow before them. But if you air the AP breaking News early Tuesday morning that She's won period . and 1.7 million less voters show up in California thats a big whoops..
She can't get voters to the polls end of story. She's no Bill Clinton for 1. and 2. I remember the late 90's. Economy was going downhill. I thought more because of the Impeachment but I think it was Bills Conservative economics that did it. I don't want a repeat. Of the 1999-2000 crash. Oddly under Obama I'm not entirely expecting one but there might be, because he's way more Conservative now than he was in 2008 when he was just right of center. Now He's in with the bunch in the upper quandrant. and She's to Donalds Right but he's more Authoritarian.

(8,175 posts)Never give up. Even if the nomination is not possible, we need to fight like hell to keep the revolution going and to push our new overlords in the right direction. Clinton will start pulling back to the right as soon as she thinks it's safe.
So thanks to the voters of this great country (too many of them) Fuck health care, fuck tuition free education, fuck a $15 dollar wage, fuck fracking, fuck crude oil being shipped and piped all over our country, fuck trade deals that encourage loss of jobs here and deflate wages and just make the wealthy wealthier. Fuck changing our police and prison system to help POC. Fuck climate change and green energy, And especially, fuck wars, killing people and global domination. We are right back where we started.
Oh yeah, and fuck Donald Trump and this country if he wins the GE.
I get the feeling that we are living in some kind of science fiction horror novel and the moral isn't obvious until the end of the story.
My soul feels crushed and I feel helpless and hopeless right now.
