Wondering why the vote totals in CA were so low? They are not done counting - Press Release!

This is just from LA County! There are a total of 58 counties in Cali.

Unfortunately this is in PDF format and I can't figure out how to paste/upload it.

They have not yet counted the provisionals, the mail in ballots that were sent in the mail OR the mail in ballots that were dropped off at the polling places.

Will this help Bernie or Hillary? Hard to say. But it makes more sense why the voting totals were so much lower compared to 2008.
(along with announcing the primary was over the nite before + the other crap that went on).

we have different sources and links. also, one provides info specific to LA county and the other is more statewide.
and i don't mind at all if they were duplicates - as long as the info gets out there.

xposting this I wrote this morning and posted elsewhere:

Yesterday was a gruelling 16 hour day of mental and physical labor working as a poll worker in my local precinct. I'm extremely exhausted and my brain feels like mush.
Later, maybe after I've rested up and catch up on some other neglected matters, I'll share some anecdotal stories to report which might be of some interest. Nothing earth shattering. Just a few observations wrt a number of NPP cross over for Bernie, that kind of thing.

On the subject of elections results generally speaking, we really have to call out the media and shatter the standard and routine practice of calling election results before the votes are actually counted.

The precincts do not count and report ballots at the closing of the polls at 8:00 pm. We do not even LOOK at the ballots that have yet TO BE counted only AFTER they are delivered to the office.
Again on average doesn't even happen physically until about 11:00 pm.
That's because we have to do much more than bagging up ballots and transporting those to the office. We have to do an astonishing amount of security procedures on commencement of closing, in addition to organizing everything to be packed away in secured receptacles.

The step by step procedures are so arduous, time consuming, requiring such intense diligence, focus, logistical and meticulous processing, you know, the IMPOSSIBILITY of actual vote counting, not to mention knowing the actual results is not only ridiculous on it's face, it plays right into to the most cynical aspect of this thing we call democracy in this country.

That's a subject for another day, and a more skilled, articulate writer to take on..
Thanks to all who canvassed door to door, made calls,, blogged, caucused, rallied in support for Bernie, and most of all thanks for being who you are, your gracious, astute, passionate beautiful selves and for being here! <3 <3 <3 I love you all!
