Interesting take from a blogger...

Pure speculation and probably bunk, but the idea of making him Majority Leader was a new one on me...

3. Bernie met with Reid and Schumer because they are going to offer him senate leader. Schumer HAS BEEN WIDELY TOUTED AS REID’S REPLACEMENT. This would matter a GREAT DEAL to Bernie. He is ALL ABOUT THE ISSUES. Being in a position to further the Revolution would mean EVERYTHING TO HIM and I trust that his supporters understand and respect that – I know I do. He could set the Senate agenda. In my opinion only, POTUS conveyed to Sanders that “super delegates” would be okay with the Senate decision but would not back his play at Convention. I hear you screaming but I am working through a jaded and calculated scenario here. Moreover, I am certain that they conveyed (4 below) to him and the role EW will play (and that VP for Bernie might NOT be out of the question, or Sanders/Warren). Given the length of Biden/Sanders meeting, they were not talking recipes, except of the political how shall-we-mix this kind. Also I do believe that Biden and POTUS truly appreciate Bernie and more importantly (and cynically), his support and his delegates.

Would be much much better than VP..He would have no real power as VP and would be shunted aside, and would be out of the picture most if not all of the time...But firs things first, I truly do not believe that i sis over quite yet...(Probably is but what the hell I can hope) Main thing needed now that our true best chance for decent leadership is gone is to get the house and senate back in D control... progressive only.. forget dinos and wannabe R's

Why? Because if she is the President, it is the job of the Senate Majority Leader to get the President's legislation passed.

Bernie would have no power to debate her, instead he would have to be her "yes" man.

Nope. Not good enough.

8. Just say "NO!" to either Warren or Sanders for VP.

I can't see either Warren or Sanders sitting quietly behind Hillary and nodding
as she goes about implementing her "Centrist" NO. WE. Can't! agenda or protecting Wall Street or Projecting Military Might in the Middle East and Latin America.

We need these two outspoken Liberals in the Senate where they will wield more power
and a much stronger voice.

that is what this is. a calculated theatric gesture to offer something as a way to placate the millions of bernie supporters & to have bernie withdraw. bernie knows.

it is an act and they will change their minds after the election or have some excuse that schumer and reid already have in the wings.

all these elected Washington insiders don't know what the hell to do about Bernie. They're not used to a principled fighter who has the support of millions and who are prepared to go the distance with him. Big mistake for Obama, Biden and Warren to endorse Hillary, considering Bernie has always said he's going all the way to the convention.

NIX to Senate Leader.
