Sanders wins Wash. state party endorsement in symbolic move

In an unprecedented move, the Washington State Democratic Party has endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders for president at its state convention in Tacoma. The endorsement came despite the fact that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is the party's presumptive nominee.

Bernie Sanders won 70 percent of the Democratic delegates in Washington and his followers were able to change the rules to permit the endorsement as a show of respect for their candidate and his issues.

(snip)
In a bid for unity, party leaders brought in the only US Senator to endorse Sanders,

Still Oregon's Jeff Merkley drew some jeers when he asked delegates to consider the issues at stake and support Hillary Clinton.

I was one of the district delegates and I can tell you, this state loves Bernie. I'm writing him in on the ballot (mail-in)!

I will never VOTE for Hillary! I'd rather die a thousand deaths then VOTE for someone that represents everything I'm against!

of their constituency. Maybe one of those Bernie supporters who are interested in running for office and realigning the party will challenge him.

I'm not giving up on him so soon. I am disappointed he pushed support for Hillary this early though. He should have waited for the convention.

Vote against and not represent their constituents, wether they're from that
state or not, goes against why any of
th are elected to office.

California had its primary on June 7 and CBS News says Clinton has 56 percent of the vote.

according to the link in the OP.

Didn't she have a much higher lead the day after the primary? That means as more votes come in he could still match or even beat her in Cali?

I don't know what impact that might have, but it would be a wonderful thing to see.

A former DUer, artislife, is also a delegate.

It means something to stay true to Bernie amid the heavy establishment pressure and ugly media insults against him because he stayed in the race for we the people.

Bernie is proof that we still count!
