Thirty-nine percent of voters nationwide said they would be more likely to vote for the Democratic ticket if Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders were on it, according to a new poll from Monmouth University.

The poll tested six potential Democratic and six potential Republican vice presidential picks, and Sanders was the only name to stand out from the pack. Among undecided voters, a whopping 50 percent said they would be more likely to support the Democrats if itís a Clinton-Sanders ticket. That could be a substantial number of voters ó the HuffPollster model indicates that 9.8 percent of voters are undecided.

Although voters would like Sanders as the vice presidential nominee, the Clinton campaign reportedly does not view a Clinton-Sanders ticket as an option. Sources told the Wall Street Journal that Hillary Clinton is not considering Bernie Sanders as a running mate.

Clintonís campaign is instead exploring other alternatives and has reportedly begun to narrow its VP shortlist. Among the floated names are Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro of Texas.

5. It will be fun

Seeing Bernie on the ticket will be a blast. He can keep campaigning and make Hillary more and more left.

Fine, if some of you want Bernie to fade away, don't support him for VP. If you want Bernie to stay in the public eye and keep making change happen, support Bernie for VP.

It's that simple.

6. It's up to him.

Bernie says yes to being VP, we're a go. It's just that her base is now foaming at the mouth against Bernie.

10. No way would Hillary invite the enemy into her inner circle.

What if she gets convicted, or impeached? There is Bernie, whom the Powers that Be despise. No way will be be the VP.

If Hillary would inexplicably offer him the position, if I were Bernie, I'd take it! And hope for truth and justice to prevail.
