"If Bernie is weird, then the American public is weird, because his views mirror the nation's views on so many major issues. This is why his campaign caught fire and why now is the exact right time to discuss it.

I voted for Hillary Clinton. I wrote dozens of columns blasting Trump and supporting her. She would've absolutely been a better President than Donald Trump. But she lost. And we must examine why she lost and we must do so without getting offended. Midterm elections are next year and Trump is already raising money for the 2020 election. The next campaign for President is going to start earlier than anything we've ever seen before. In some ways, it's already underway."
