Bernie Sanders Is a Russian Agent, and Other Things I Learned This Week

A case study in how fake news is attracting liberals.

https://www.thenation.com/article/bernie-sanders-is-a-russian-agent-and-other-things-i-learned-this-week/

On Thursday afternoon, Senator Bernie Sanders voted against legislation to put new sanctions on both Russia and Iran. He voted for a Russia-only sanctions bill, but opposed the final bill’s inclusion of new sanctions on Iran because, like John Kerry, he feared it would endanger the 2015 nuclear deal.

I tweeted out a screengrab of Sanders’ statement saying as much, and noted that he was one of only two senators to vote no. Then I went about my business. When I checked Twitter an hour later, all hell had broken loose.

Posing this in the Sanders group for discussion.

The tweets at the link are a case study in hilarious.

Just wondering given some of the usual "questions" being asked there.

I'm not concerned about questions other people may have. Finding answers is easy enough to do and Bernie's reasons for his vote have been pointed out time and again.. You may post it in GD if you wish, as for myself I would consider it a waste of my time.

3. I understand. You're right about that -- it is a waste of time. I'm just feeling a bit testy

At this point no one is going to change anyone's mind about Bernie. People either hate him, blame him, still support and respect him or they have moved on. It's all just noise.

Other than this part.. which actually feeds into their collective paranoia.. and is an unproven assumption/allegation..

"and did hack the Democratic National Committee, and Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta."

Has there been a proven source of the leaked emails?? I do not remember that..

beam me up scottie

Twitter trolls have been lying about Bernie since he announced and the red baiting and anti-Semitism has only gotten worse. They sensationalized his time spent in a kibbutz (ZOMG socialism!!1!) and Burlington's affiliation with its sister city in Russia and used them to question his loyalty to America. It's despicable and I wish I could say it was coming from the right but it isn't.
