Chairman Bernie Sanders was joined today by 14 other senators in calling for re-authorization of the The Older Americans Act, the landmark law that supports Meals on Wheels an other important programs for seniors. Sanders (I-Vt.) and other supportive senators addressed a Capitol Hill briefing hosted by the National Council on Aging and the American Society on Aging.

Sen. Bernie Sanders and other senators hosted a summit meeting with seniors' organizations today. Sanders introduced legislation to reauthorize and strengthen the landmark Older Americans Act which supports Meals on Wheels and other critical programs for seniors. Sanders is the chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Primary Health and Aging, which has jurisdiction over the Older Americans Act.
