Sanders returning to Colbert next week

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I) is making a return trip to late-night TV. The Vermont senator will appear next week on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”
Sanders will sit down with Colbert on September 7, CBS announced Thursday.
Colbert has enjoyed a ratings surge as he’s upped his fierce and frequent criticism of President Trump, calling him America’s first “racist grandpa president” earlier this month.
Sanders, a famously private senator, became a regular on the talk show and late-night circuit as a 2016 Democratic presidential candidate. He appeared on Colbert’s show last November, just days after Trump’s election victory.
