After the rally, Scholten was asked what kind of impact his guest speaker had for his campaign.
“Running for Congress is a grind but you have nights like tonight where you just really can just gather that energy and keep it with you for these last two and half weeks and this will be something I remember for a very long time,” said J.D. Scholten (D) Iowa 4th District Congressional Candidate.
Scholten says that if he is elected congressman, he is not only planning to strive for one political side but for both to help unite District four.
“There is a fire burning in me that wants to change this district for the better, providing healthcare for folks raising wages and bringing in technology and going to DC and cleaning things up out there this is something that this district desperately needs and I feel that Bernie and I see the hope out there in people and our events are not just about Democrats they’re independents and Republicans showing up and they want that change,” adds Scholten.
