In light of the outrage by some of Bernie's hires, this very long older article about CAP and

Neera Tandem is worth rereading.

I would have posted it in one of the gazillion threads in Dem Primary forum but the anti Sanders cavalry would just misread it and besides Iíve probably trashed most of those threads.

But rereading it this morning was really educational and boiled my blood all over again. Highly recommend if youíre strong enough.

1. People come here to have a haven from that negativity

8. I get discouraged often by reading DP

Some of the posters absolutely hate Bernie for reasons I'm not quite sure other than they seem to blame Bernie and his supporters for HRC's loss.

Believe me, nobody is more disappointed at having that vile creature in the White House. He has exceeded my expectations of how awful, mean and petty he can be.

Would HRC have made a better president? NO QUESTION. But it was her "job" to convince the public to vote for her. The campaign was hers to make and she had lots of money to do so. Bernie gave his support and did campaign speeches for her. Now it seems that wasn't enough. Again, it was her campaign and how she used or did not use Bernie in her campaign was her decision. He was willing and I recall him strongly urging everyone who would listen to vote for HRC over DT.

Obviously HRC was not successful in her campaign. I think it was in part to her past history and in part by the mistakes the campaign she ran. I'm rather disappointed HRC hasn't assumed full responsibility for her loss, but that's what it is. Just wish people would be mad/disappointed with the correct person. Rather some blame Bernie as he couldn't deliver his base.

All I can say is I voted for Bernie in the primary and then for HRC in the general. But I certainly understand why some of Bernie's base didn't vote for her. We were never made to feel welcomed. It seemed all HRC's campaign wanted was for the Bernie supports to vote for her and shut up. They didn't want to talk about the mistakes made in the primary and how it was so weighed in HRC's favor. All seemed to be true based on what party stalwart Donna Brazile later revealed. And I still feel this to today.

But I fully believe Democrats are the way to go. I will not hold the current candidates responsible for what happened in the 2016 primaries. I want the winning candidate to succeed and return the US to normalcy. What a fine group we have so far with Bernie leading the pack.

9. Let's focus on the hope of the 2020 campaign, and be grateful that Bernie is still

fighting for justice.

2. Thanks for posting. It's a reaffirmation for many of us.

Especially those who enthusiastically voted in 2016.

3. And nothing has changed. If you are foolish enough to watch MSNBC or CNN you will see

The same old faces spouting the same things over and over that were completely wrong in 2016 and continue to be wrong now. Yet never face consequences. Neera, Maria Cardona, Joy, Capehart, Rendell. Hell McCaskill is an MSNBC pundit telling Dems what they have to do to win!

I watch Democracy Now for actual news and then research what I want to know for myself. Itís unfortunate that so many people have limited time and believe a panel of opinions is based on anything but their own bias.

4. I have become quite adept at filtering. I'm glad you are part of DU.

There aren't many free thinkers here anymore. The herd successfully managed to run them off.

6. Ditto. But what I used to love was the ability to talk about policy and have respect

For a politician in one area and disagree with them in another. Unfortunately thatís all gone now. Which is why I post so infrequently and when I do, usually regret it

7. I miss that too.

Antonio Porchia: ... A little candor never leaves me. It is what protects me.

It seems especially around primaries the number of trolls and DUer's with AKAs grows so much it's hard to trust any of it like we use too.

5. Thanks

I've been wondering about the outrage and trying to understand it.
