...grew up in Oregon City...been in Los Angeles now for almost 30 years (where the hell did those years go?!?!)
Faux pas
(14,667 posts)Lincoln City. Lol I was born in Portland, transplanted against my will to Ontario, Ca. Grew up there, worked all over the state and came back 'home' in 2000. When I say 'home' I live about 3 miles from the Wayside where, the story goes, I was conceived. Talk about full circle, huh. Where the years went, don't ask me!

(18,791 posts)At this minute, I'm in Beaverton.
I think, well, I suppose I could live here again...and then I think of the weather when I was also here in Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun (so then it got hot)...and think, BRRRRR, then run back to SoCal.
I need lots of sun, blue skies and relative warmth.
grandparents lived in Beaverton most of my life. Lol I've got that Norwegian, Scottish, Dutch, English Northern Hemisphere dna thing going on. Thrive in the dark damp places like a mushroom. It's almost getting too warm and dry for me here.

(1 post)We know that the corporate media and the DNC (Debbie) are in effect, an extension of the Clinton campaign. However, it is apparent that Bernie has the momentum among the Democratic base. We'd be foolish not to assume that the DNC, corporate media, etc...has a plan to slander Bernie. Throwing around the scary "socialist" word hasn't worked. So my question is how do you suppose the oligarchs will try to discredit Bernie?

https://berniesanders.com/issuesBernie Sanders in Boston. He drew 20,000 people to listen to his ideas. He has reached 1,000,000 donations faster than any other Presidential candidate in history. He has a record that supports his beliefs and has not wavered. If you say you vote on the issues, take a moment to look at his policy at this link. In Vermont, Bernie Sanders is TIED for the lead among Republican voters! This election is NOT about D's or R's its about restoring the middle class in this country. I say elect Bernie, Tax Trump.
_________________________________________________________________________
It's honestly about much more than this, but I tailored this message to my family and friends who are either hardcore R's (they won't change their mind, but I still want them to check Bernie out) and to those who sort of vote with the 'wind' and truly need Bernie's policies impacting their lives in terms of jobs, fair wages, lifting above poverty, etc
I think this event in Boston is finally going to command the media give Bernie more attention, even if they don't want to do so out of fear. Bernie is building a campaign beyond IA and NH, this is turning into a National Movement and I truly hope it keeps going.
