Since Sanders so often refers to Nordic / Scandinavian countries

and people in the US so often scream about tax rates in those areas

OMIGOD you pay 45% taxes?????!!!!???!!!!

let's get into it a bit

american paychecks give
pay,
minus fico
minus social
minus medicare
only one counts as tax

when a Swede or Dane checks his paycheck he does this

contribution to
tax==
tax
pension
ss
medicare
dental
healtcare
childcare
unemployment
housing supplement if applicable
food supplement if applicable
and so on

notice, nordic countries (it's baked into the tax)....US..it's detailed....nickle and dime to death

9 questions about Denmark, Bernie Sanders’s favorite socialist utopia

I'm interested in what people (esp. Sandernistas) think of this article.

Any thoughts?

using the word "revolution" - sure to scare the mainstream, and-

Naming the country "Denmark". It would have better to have said ""a European country" or better still, "some European countries", without mentioning a specific country. We Americans don't like to be told any specific country is doing something better than the USA. After all, we're "exceptional"!

This is where a little more debate prep might have helped him.
Nonetheless, Bernie Sanders performed remarkably well, and won many hearts with his "emails" remark.

Now, if only we can be sure that Larry David is available to appear long-term on SNL, all will be well.

for when it's not.

Years back, local congressman put on a townhall while ACA was still in the works. He made the mistake of pointing out that our healthcare system was worse than Cuba's. A lot of people only seem to hear that as, "I hate America!"
