-snip-
Published on Nov 24, 2015

1. 1st, admit he was WRONG to exempt

firearms dealers and manufacturers who run guns to urban gangs and facilitate thousands of gang murders every year. In the last debate, John Dickerson gave Bernie a chance to admit he was wrong to vote for the Tiahrt Amendment, which finally passed in 2005. But, unlike Hillary, who admitted her vote for the IWR was wrong Bernie refused. That bill makes it virtually impossible to trace the one percent of arms dealers who are responsible for 57 percent of guns recovered at crime scenes, or to prosecute them.

Why did Bernie refuse to work to reverse that abominable piece of legislation? Does he secretly realize that he has a minuscule chance of becoming President, and seek to avoid antagonizing the NRA, so he can hold on to his Vermont Senate seat?

2. You totally missed the point

This OP is called
What Does Bernie Sanders Need to do to Gain Support from Minority Voters

I think you lost your way. You are so Hell bent to promote Hillary you are misstating the facts.
You are talking about the first Brady Bill and he explained that vote. He lead his colleges on legislation to ban guns sales to individuals at gun shows without the proper ID info, background checks. He also lead the on the issue of banning Assault weapons (AK-47s) an issue that Hillary has tap danced around. Before you promote Hillary about gun control you should probably get the facts straight.

4. Didn't you watch the debate?

I'm not talking about Bernie's wrong Brady bill vote; I'm talking about his far far more reprehensible vote on the PLCAA. See

6. That is an OP from and individual thats hell bent on bashing Bernie Sanders

Bernie Sanders represents Vermont. His vote/s represent that state Now if he had such a terrible record on gun control issues his NRA grade would not be a D-.
Without doing all the research to prove a point here,I would suggest you go to www.berniesanders.com to the issues page and read about his gun control legislation voting history and i think you will clear up some of the questions you have but dont have the facts.

7. You seem to be the one

who's missing the facts.

Google PLCAA to learn why Bernie and all the other NRA puppets who voted for it are partly culpable for out-of control gang violence that has turned neighborhoods where minorites live unsafe for children. Why would anybody who lives there vote for anybody who's protecting the gunrunners? Unrepentingly, as recently as last week?

10. All i can say is I did watch the debate and I thought Bernie Sanders

explained his vote referencing this to his states constituents stance. . A bad vote on a controversial bill that would probably be overturned if any criminal charges brought against a gun dealer in another state, if charged or convicted.
The gun dealer/s still has to properly follow background checks laws.
But I don't think it is a fair comparison of the gun bill vote and Hillary's vote on the Iraq war vote where 4000+ young men and women died and over a million civilians died or maimed in a war for O.I.L.

If this is all the Hillary supporters have against Bernie than I think he should feel pretty comfortable since her campaign is more about attack, attack rather than discussing the issues which so far she has failed miserably on.
That's all I have say.

But what we are suppose to be talking about in this thread was
Bernie and the African American support which he is gaining on.
So Bye,Bye Im going to do some phone banking for Bernie.

12. Wow

I didn't know this post would create an argument. I listened to the whole show.
Maybe I should go back and listen to just this video/part. I don't know what
a Hill supporter thinks they would gain from coming in here and picking a
fight. My minds made up and I'm for the Bern! I seriously doubt anybody
would change their mind from Bernie to Hillary. There are so many issues.
Gun control is just one. Not only that, but unfortunately it seems most people
seem to favor no restrictions. I'll never figure that one out. California has the strongest
gun control laws but some just go out of state. Bernie represents Vermont I have no problem with
that.

13. I know replying to my own post is weird

but I did listen again and there is NO mention of gun control
in this segment. I think the Hill supporter was throwing in a
red herring to create a stir so to speak. Whatever...
