Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumCompare and Contrast: Hillary Group vs Bernie Group
I looked down the first page of the sheltered workshop, er, group for Hillary fanatics, and the maximum number of recs was 50, on one solitary posting. If I cared enough, I could calculate the average, but I estimate it by sight to be 20 per OP, at best, over the entire past week.
Look at the first page of Bernie's group, and you see multiple posts racking up multiple hundreds of recs. A rough estimate: an average of 30, a max of 274 recs over a span of less than 4 days.
It could very well be that too much too fast is posted, escaping notice, or that some posts are just too limited to draw much attention....so if we took anything over 20, say, we'd have racked up an average of 64 recs on 35 well-subscribed threads. Minimum of 20 recs, max of 274.
And yet, the Hillary group sees fit to harass, intimidate, block, ban and tombstone (on the most specious of reasons or no reason at all) people who post stuff that reflects badly on Hillary (stuff otherwise known as unvarnished truth without spin). AND the Administrators see fit to ignore what is going on. Dollars count more, doncha know?
(See Mom, I am learning something from the statistics class...)

Hey Bernie Group, perhaps you should rein in this person who appears to be a troll. I'd challenge their troll like claims, but you blocked me for suggesting Bernie not run against Obama.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Nov 29, 2015, 06:14 PM, and the Jury voted 0-7 to LEAVE IT.

(4,407 posts)Or in more modern terminology, an ass-kicking. It seems very much that the knot of hard-core Hillary supporters are desperately trying to maintain their "reality" through any means. It's very similar to religious fanatics finding "proof" in everything (including toast) to support their beliefs in their invisible friend.

(10,345 posts)How many of their groups posts are anti bernie, compared to ours?
The majority of our posts are pro Bernie. there are few anti Hillary posts.
But over there, the majority are anti Bernie, with fewer pro Hillary posts.
They don't have alot of positive things to say about their candidate I guess.

(36,392 posts)The only way for people who are resoundingly defeated on the issues is to take over the means of communication. That's why the far right has cable "news" and all of the radio comandeered, and that's why the hillarians alert so many posts and start their own sheltered echo chamber.

I used to like having them here though- they get their talking points straight from Hillary's strategists, so I'd always know what the meme this week would be in the MSM. Now it's just repeated noises over and over again.
I don't know why some of them get so many forced vacations and are allowed to come back. There are no honest mistakes being made there.

(6,604 posts)It's also enlightening to compare the number of blocked members vs. subscribers for both groups.
The HRC group actually has more blocked members than subscribers, with 291 and 241 respectively.
The Sanders group? 172 blocked members vs. 761 subscribers.
If there ever were any question about where the thin-skinned congregate (apart from their little time-out sandbox away from DU, I mean), these numbers provide a good indication.

Mean spirited and mocking. Posts like this make DU suck.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Nov 29, 2015, 08:01 PM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I think it's the facts in the post that are harmful to du. Facts are facts, even if you don't like them.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Are these facts or aren't they?
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: All of these people are mean spirited and mocking. They have conjured up a fantasy about hillarysupporters.com, ridiculous. They are projecting all their meanness and intellectual weaknesses onto others (calling others thin-skinned yet obsessed with a Hillary group that they imagine talks about them all the time!) But can't hide. If we hid all the insulting comments like this we'd all be constantly on juries.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: This post is opinion. For Pete's sake. This is a message board. A place where opinions are expressed.
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

I think the facts speak for themselves....I'm new to this place, I didn't know about all that data being available on subscribers and people who have been blocked.
Guess the Hillary group didn't, either.

(11,945 posts)They seem certain that their candidate is winning -- boast about it constantly -- and yet, they act miserable. Why?
Is it because they're not in the majority here?
But then, what about their non-DU counterparts? Why aren't they more joyful? Why don't they vote for their candidate in online polls? Why don't they show up in huge numbers at her rallies?
Something doesn't add up.
