(17,651 posts)exactly what is happening.
Really pathetic that another political ideology is seeing through the same magnifying glass that many of us are using.
And beyond pathetic that IF she wins the nomination, we will all have to find a way to explain just how fucked up our entire political system is, including one "big tent" Democratic Party that's been running farther into the Republican weed patch with every passing decade and protects millionairres and billionaires.
Absolutely pathetic.
I appreciate your perspective and largely agree with much of it.
But people don't like to be laughed at. It stimulates people to change their behavior so they do not get laughed at any longer.
Those media companies supporting Hillary in that cartoon look pretty bad.
The folks in that cartoon are a joke. They won't like being portrayed as a joke. I think that cartoon will do some good. Stuff like that is an effective way to get people to change their ways - like SNL or Jon Stewart do with their humor.
Things like that will help resolve the situation you aptly describe as "pathetic". That's why I like it.

(17,651 posts)administration offer but not-as-awful as the GOP?
Very sad state we find ourselves in - some will make a choice as to what their options are. It should not be this way.

have spent years and millions on smearing the Clinton's with, some of those straight from David Brock who is now on her campaign. Now that they are threatened by Bernie they are attempting to prop her up. That part is true.

See this mother jones article about their superpac attacks on Tammy Duckworth in 2012:

Every penny received by Now or Never in September, when it launched its Illinois ad blitz, came from a Virginia-based nonprofit called Americans for Limited Government. ALG forked over, in two payments, a whopping $1.95 million. As a nonprofit, ALG doesn't disclose its donors.
Americans for Limited Government was co-founded in 1996 by real estate investor Howard Rich, who also serves on the boards of the Cato Institute and the Club for Growth. According to Politico, ALG has been among the recipients of funding from the extensive donor network established by the billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch. ALG has also employed Sean Noble, according to Politico, who helped to oversee how the Koch donor network's contributions were spent.

Those fuckers will come after Bernie with both barrels blazing when he wins Iowa and NH.

Please note that her vote for the Iraq war, a real sore spot for liberals, is not listed.

This cartoon is vile and disgusting.
Self-delete is the best option.

(32,723 posts)The one aspect the OP was focusing on of the media propping her up is pretty accurate over Bernie but you can substitute Trump after the primary,...regardless of who we pick.

I support Senator Sanders but not this.

(12,126 posts)And I urge everyone else to do the same. Or, you could self delete.
This is full of rightwing talking points. WTF is it doing here on DU?
I don't think I have sent any alerts in the last several years -- maybe only one before now.
This has no place here. It supports all the rightwing shit that was flung at Democrats thru out the 90s. And it's insulting to women. I take great offense with this.
And I fully support Senator Sanders -- thoroughly. He would be appalled as much as I am I am sure.

(39,909 posts)and I feel like Hillary is being pushed on us by The Media, the DNC, and Major Corporations.
So, yeah, I believe this cartoon is an accurate, if cartoonish, depiction of reality.

(687 posts)I agree that the main stream media is in the tank for Hillary R. Clinton -- but this one is too mean spirited for my taste. And of course, most of the "issues" depicted are bullshit. There are plenty of good reasons to berne her for -- but Bernie has no use for the email reference, and OMG -- Vince Foster? And the drawing of Hillary is I think in poor taste.
Respectfully disagree with those who found this one funny.

(44,744 posts)recommended. There is the media standing on everything they have ever used to smear the Clinton's with and are now propping her up. I feel no outrage about this. Media hypocrisy.

(10,893 posts)but I have to speak out in this case. Posts like these (from Americans for Limited Government) that misrepresent the former SOS do BS no favors, and only antagonize voters that he'll need to win the primaries. As someone who isn't strongly in either camp (but is willing to vote for whomever in the GE), this is a major turn-off for me. The recurring idea of the media propping up HC and neglecting BS (despite much evidence to the contrary) just comes off as a poor excuse for why he's not doing as well as he should. I would strongly advise self-deleting.

(248 posts)1. The media, although complicit in ignoring and dismissing Bernie Sanders at almost every opportunity, has no great love of Hillary either. While they no doubt would prefer her to Bernie as president, they were absolutely gleeful in hyping up the Benghazi and email "scandals" that most people didn't care too much about. The media would turn on Hillary in a second if it helped their bottom line.
2. We, as Bernie supporters, need to be better than this. I respect Hillary enough to know she is an accomplished politician, even if I disagree with how she has run her campaign and her "evolving" on certain issues. Pulling stuff from right wing sources does our cause no good and turns people off.
3. This is just my personal viewpoint. Once the election is over and all the dust settles, I want to be able to say that I handled this election season with good grace and didn't debase myself. Because we are all gonna have to deal with each other in one way or another when this is all over.
That being said, I will get off of my high horse now.
