Rose Parade closes with anti-Trump stunt, Bernie Sanders march

Parade viewers’ gaze turned to the sky as the words “America is Great! Trump is Disgusting,” appeared in skywriting above the parade route as it neared completion.

“AnybodybutTrump.us” followed the first writing, leading people to a website run by We the People Foundation, which also has a banner with the “America is Great!” message.

“We wanted to use the venue to send a positive message that people are supporting Sanders and that it’s important for people to get to know him, become aware of his platform and his story,” he said. “We need somebody who won’t just give us a slogan. Trump says things that are irresponsible.”

Sanders marchers carried signs and a paper mache float of the candidate promptly after the parade had finished.

Glad they got it on tape! Whoever did this was TERRIFIC at getting a message out! Not only did the millions of people at the parade see it, but people in the surrounding areas could see it too. On top of that, CNN got it on tape, so the coverage is massive. I can't even imagine how much ads cost that would gain that kind of coverage. THANK YOU to whoever put it together!!!

What a fantastic way to start the new year! I was so happy out there and the response from the crowd was great! A couple naysayers but mostly a lot of really good responses. I even talked to a couple guys a the beginning and they just joined in not knowing it was happening, they were there for the parade. Later I saw more people that had just decided to march along with us.
