The Clintons' fear: Bernie "will foment a large wave first-time voters and liberals" like Barack did

Cross posted to GDP

According to Democrats close to the Clintons and involved with her campaign, Mrs. Clinton and the former president are also unnerved by the possibility that Mr. Sanders will foment a large wave of first-time voters and liberals that will derail her in Iowa, not unlike Barack Obama’s success in 2008, which consigned Mrs. Clinton to a third-place finish. They have asked her advisers about the strength of the campaign’s data modeling and turnout assumptions in Iowa, given that her 2008 campaign’s predictions were so inaccurate.

The Clintons are in meltdown because voters in Iowa and NH are FEELING THE BERN!!

Remember that the last time she ran for President these first time voters were only 10 and 4th graders and now they are College Freshman or High School Seniors.....and a huge percentage of them are Sanders Supporters.

They could be labeled as the Generation that began the new Revolution.

by knowing that Martin O'Malley is unlikely to gain more supporters in Iowa than Clinton, so she's almost assured of a second place there. And unless Bernie totally blows her out of the water, and gets at least 70% of the caucus-goers, they'll still claim victory, I'm sure. And they'll also dismiss Bernie's coming win in NH, since that's a neighbor of VT, and they'll swear, absolutely swear that he'll dry up and blow away like old leaves in the fall.

Won't happen that way.

I'm waiting for the official return of the PUMAs.

Bernie's Momentum form IA and NH with a win at either SC and Nev is going to really cause problems for Hillary.

I haven't read much about current polling in either place, but I suspect Bernie will do much better than expected in the first, and may well pull out a win in the second. And along the way, he will get more and more media coverage, which will only benefit him. Plus, if Team Hillary continues to pull dumb stunts, like Chelsea, he will do better and better along the way.

Those states are expected Clinton strongholds. In 2008, she won NV, but is wasn't the firewall the campaign expected it to be.

If he's hot out of IA and NH this could get interesting in a hurry!

but refused to listen. Now they're surprised and have no plan but to attack Bernie, the most sincere man in DC? She could have changed tactics 6 mos. ago, maybe abandon Wall St. ties. Stand on principal.

Instead, she panics, stretches the truth beyond recognition with fables she hardly believes herself, and doubles down on positions directed by the 1%. In comparison to Bernie, all leaders are going to seem insincere. Nobody's perfect, but to double-down with insincere tactics reeks of desperation.

These are not endearing qualities for a President.

The public would like her more if she just admitted that it was a mistake to lie about Bernie's Health Care Plan. She makes mistakes like the rest of us.
