The media is purposely leaving the "democratic" part off of...

...democratic socialist in order to paint Bernie as a Communist and it has my blood boiling. Kristin Welker just now on MSNBC referred to him as "Bernie Sanders the socialist". Why aren't Bernie and his reps fighting this tooth and nail? Why do they not seem as pissed as I am about it?

Will this be an effective characterization when Bernie is our nominee?

1. His road would have been a lot easier, IMO, if he had called himself a Socialist Democrat.

But the public is changing rapidly in its opinion of "socialism" as they become aware that we are a socialist country in many ways. Take them away, we'd be pretty destitute.

Considering where we've been, it's shocking we can even say the word. Marxism is purposefully left out of most college curriculum.

We should be thrilled that we're talking about it, and that we have an intelligent candidate in the race.

I saw one of his videos, and he makes it very clear that Marxism was kept out of our university system.

Maybe there are critical aspects of the "relationship" that he talks about that aren't addressed in schools. It seems they would be since they're at the heart of Marxism. Do you know what he means?

The excitement translates into voters.

And from what I'm seeing this cycle there's more buzz around Bernie than with Obama in 2008.

You have to remember, almost half the electorate is too young to have suffered the national PTSD that red scare and Cold War propaganda caused.

Regular Socialism advocates for worker ownership of the means of production.

Bernie hasn't advocated for any such thing in this campaign.

Game over, Mrs Greenspan.

...look at tRump or cruz as gods. I just hate hearing the blatant slant and no one calling them out on it. And the longer the Sanders campaign lets them get away with it, the longer I have to hear them doing. I just don't know if I can take the rest of the election cycle hearing that crap multiple times a day. My cork will pop, eventually.

The media is so used to a fearful audience, they don't know what to do when there is a sector of the population they can't manipulate with fear.
