Is there something going on?

Despite the orchestrated onslaught by the right wing Democrats and their republican friends towards Bernie (expected). It's not just because he supports social democracy. I feel there is something else going on. Insiders must know it. We hear rumors about another Democrat being put in the race. Hillary is not doing as well as expected but not out. There must be something brewing?

3. I think there is something going on too

I noticed a shift after the last debate and my husband said the same thing tonight. The smears have increased on the Internet and on the cable news channels. It's like an all out orchestrated attack on Bernie.

4. "We hear rumors about another Democrat being put in the race."

If true then who?

Michelle Obama?

Former VP Al Gore?

Biden part deux?

If that happens, now, I'd expect that Bernie would appear stronger; seeing how a replacement candidate for Hollowry would backfire spectacularly.

7. Again, at this stage, I cannot see a Dem jumping in to save the party.

If that were to happen, and Hillary steps out, then I can only imagine that Bernie would make a sweep of the primaries.

I would put that down for any challenger against an establishment that faces a shakeup.

Would DWS just miraculously create more debates?

Would the establishment join ranks with Bloomberg?

It would be a turn-off to Democrats, frankly, and could spell a real nutbuster of an election cycle.

...and that's why only having 3 candidates, since one is inevitable , is a bad idea.

8. when you think about it

If Hillary drops out Martin would be the other option for them but no one has suggested it. Bernie will win no matter.

their savior at this point.

They've all but ignored him.

I don't see that happening either, but I guess the bigger question is what could be so bad to make Hillary skip town...so to speak?

12. Or The Possibility of A Third Party!

This would really make me angry, after Bernie swore he would endorse another Democrat and not run as an Independent! For them to do that to Bernie would be so dirty! I would be through with the Democrat Establishment!

18. That's Democratic Establishment.

I don't mean to say you intentionally did it but it's a GOP point to always refer to it as the Democrat Party, never Democratic. It's just another sign that the GOP is unfit to govern.

16. What's going on is they're quite worried about Sanders actually winning.

It looks like Sanders has NH in the bag. At the rate he's gaining in IA, he's got an extremely good chance of winning that.

In NV, three Spanish-language papers just endorsed Sanders, and Clinton's recent history is extremely unhelpful there - I doubt too many Latinos appreciate the Honduran coup as much as Clinton did.

So it's starting to look like Clinton may be 0 for 3 going into SC. And an enormous amount of her SC support is based on the belief that only Clinton can win. When she just lost 3 times in a row, that is going to be a very hard thing to sell.

So now it's possible Clinton is 0 for 4 going into super Tuesday....and she doesn't even have staff in all the super Tuesday states. Nor does she seem to have an alternative to her "inevitable" strategy, which will be extremely difficult to sustain in the face of 0-4 or 1-3. Which means she does poorly there, leading to further poor performances.

And the panicked responses to NH and IA by the Clinton campaign are not at all reassuring to the powers that be. And they have very little time to get a substitute on enough ballots to have a chance at replacing Clinton.

(The giant flaw in this "draft someone...anyone...help!" movement is it assumes Clinton would go along with it. If she stays in the race, the replacement can't possibly get enough votes to challenge Sanders. So unless Clinton's about to face an indictment or serious medical problem, Clinton herself will destroy any effort to replace her)

28. I'm in Texas and there has been activity here for weeks

My data is old, but a week or two ago more than 1 million contacts by phone here.

Read something from Weaver saying that there were 90,000 volunteers mobilized in the early states.

29. That's because Bernies campaign is growing in other states.

Like Nevada. If we overwhelm them, the establishment "bigclub" will begin fading. If only George Carlin could be here to see this "bigclub" getting it's ass kicked by the people thereby putting the corporate goons in panic mode.

21. That isn't going to fly

Bernie supporters are a committed bunch ... They aren't going to fall for a bait and switch .... It would have disastrous results - They would lose at least half of the electorate, and gamble that they will come crawling back to defeat Trump or Cruz ...

Joe is NOT going to run against Bernie after publicly praising him so vehemently just a few days ago ...

I don't know ... Maybe Liebermann is available ? ... He does come with Joementum™, after all ...

23. I think so too.

I did a volunteer stint at the local Dem office today, which I do several times a month and one of the PTB who run the place, all of them for Hillary, said to me that it was hard to be enthusiastic about the election without choices. Duh, Bernie is a choice, but I didn't utter that out loud because it suddenly struck me that something is brewing and I might learn more by listening rather than talking. They do have direct lines and information all the way to Washington.

30. Could be.

And that level of excitement for her has to be at all time low and sinking daily. And yes Bernie should win both Iowa and NH. I hope he can go 3-0 in SC. That would put him in the position he wants to be in: winning the nomination. I hope SC volunteers can send us something as to how things are going there. Saw Hillary town hall pic yesterday posted here. Not many people in attendance. So perhaps her campaign is fizzling. We will see soon.

If the excitement level for Bernie increases after NH, he will win it all. And thats because I'm an optimist.

31. I think the CNN town hall has to have something to do with it

I cannot believe that DWS is not doing everything in her power to rig Iowa for Hillary. This new town hall must be part of the plan. Perhaps put Bernie up first and then have the other 2 candidates attack him when he cannot respond. Or have pre-planned questions by selected Iowans, like they did in 2007:
