If deregulation worked than criminals would be the most successful businessmen around. And in a way we have turned our businessmen into criminals through deregulation.

5. A lot of people forget that Reagan came to DC as a REFORMER....

 

Reagan portrayed himself as the hero up against an intractable opposition. An over-bloated bureaucratic NIGHTMARE full of shadowy, overpaid pencil pushers.

He claimed he would cut the pork and the red tape and make government work for the PEOPLE instead of for itself and "special interest groups". (Hippies demanding clean air and water.)
