Candidate says he wasn't involved in plans to postpone CNMI election

Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands gubernatorial candidate Juan Babauta said neither he nor the Democratic Party of the CNMI were consulted about the decision to delay the Nov. 6 general election.

Babauta said he understood the need for a delay because of "the suffering of the people" in the wake of the devastation caused by Supertyphoon Yutu.
