Biden withdraws Cenzon nomination to federal court

President Joe Biden last week withdrew former President Trumpís nomination of Superior Court of Guam Judge Maria Cenzon to serve as chief judge for the U.S. District Court Guam, according to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero has asked Biden to instead re-nominate Chief Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood to keep the islandís federal court seat. Tydingco-Gatewood has been chief federal judge on Guam since 2006, after she was nominated by former President George Bush and confirmed by the Senate.

Federal judges in the territories do not hold lifetime posts and instead are nominated to serve 10-year terms.

Former President Trump last November nominated Cenzon to take over at the federal court, but the Senate did not act on the nomination before its session ended and returned Cenzonís nomination to Trump.

1. Gee........

I wonder if Cenzon was another of BunkerBoy's buddies that didn't get what he had been promised in exchange for who-knows-what?

(I know, it is NOT 'fair' to Cenzon to assume that there was anything 'suspicious' about the nomination, but then again, it WAS BunkerBoy who nominated him........)
