Steve Bullock was asked a question tonight that all the candidates better be prepared to answer:
If Donnie is charged and convicted of a crime after he leaves office would you pardon him?
Steve gave a less than resounding "no".

1. Probably a useless question as I don't think there's any one of the likely nominees that'd answer
'yes'.

3. Why would ANYONE pardon him?
This should not be a discussion regarding this.

5. Poor Bullock. That's a cheap-shot question. Yes, no, and
will have to decide based on what is best for the nation will all harm the candidates.
When and if it comes to it, the situation will be very fluid and nuanced, millions will be angry and upset, refusing to believe he's guilty of anything, and none can be sure at this point what the best course will be. I don't hold responses to questions that stir strong emotional reaction and have no winning answer against them, but an answer from someone worthy of the position is what I would prefer to hear, boring as it may be. That's despite the fact that I really want the man in prison doing hard time until he's eligible for compassionate release only. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

6. he clearly said no. i think he was just not expecting that question
to be asked. but there is no question in his answer that he would not.
