Inslee receives top marks in Greenpeace climate action report card ranking

Gov. Jay Inslee received the highest marks for a presidential candidate on a climate change report from the liberal environmental group Greenpeace.

The report laid out a ranking based on grades for 19 Democratic presidential candidates and two Republican candidates.

Inslee was the only candidate to receive an A- or higher. President Donald Trump helped Inslee bookend the rating with a last place F grade.

The candidates received the grade based on their two scores out of 50. The scores reflected their proposed policies or plans and how well they aligned with the Green New Deal and phasing out fossil fuels. The candidate's public records, voting records and prior actions contributed to their score as well. A full analysis of each candidate's grade can be found here.
