But there comes a point where you grow up and stop making stupid mistakes. And absolutely, owning those mistakes and taking responsibility shows maturity and growth. I'm tired of politicians who just give lip service and only say what they think people want to hear because it's politically expedient and who don't take responsibility for what they say and do.

Not a damn one. Which one of the other candidates have a PROVEN record of energizing young voters to volunteer and actually vote at a 500% increase? Not a damn one.

How many of those much needed young voters do you think are going to vote for Biden when they figure out he opposes legalizing marijuana?

Trying to push the perceived "safe" candidate never works. Apparently you are forgetting how well that kind of planning and over analyzing worked with John Kerry.

Nothing like going out of your way to pry defeat out of the jaws of victory...

Sun Jun 9, 2019, 09:19 AM

The polls don't adequately measure young voters. In fact, some of them have only polled people over 50 years old. Beto is extremely popular with very young voters, many of which who have been on the ground all over the country canvassing and clipboarding for weeks. Pollsters and pundits like to try to pick candidates based on their coverage. They pulled the same thing they are doing to Beto on Bill Clinton. Didn't work then and it won't work now. Those young voters will never support a candidate who opposes legalizing marijuana.

Sun Jun 9, 2019, 09:27 AM

You would tell all the Senators currently running to drop out and keep their seats. You would tell Buttigieg to run for the Senate, who has far less experience than Beto...who has 6 years in local politics, three terms in Congress and most of those years serving on Committees related to Armed Services, Intelligence and Veterans. He helped Veterans immensely.

Battle proven? Which one of those running has ever run against a nasty Trumpian hate mongering dirty campaigning Republican that spent millions on attack ads? Only one....Beto. And if that race had of been national he would have won. Not a one of the other candidates could have done what Beto did...not a one.

Indiana is VERY Republican and his previous statewide attempt there -- think it was for state treasurer -- failed. The lack a a viable Indiana stepping stone is probably part of why he is trying for national office now. I hope to at least see him with a national role in the Biden administration, as he is an amazing person.

Even when he disagrees on something important, like he did with Biden, he was still respectful and would not make it personal at all.

It's incredibly frustrating to start a thread to highlight your candidate and share information and have people jump on just to make rude comments that are obviously intended to instigate and derail the thread.
