Tim Ryan, who represents Northeastern Ohio in Congress, says Democrats need to understand the priorities of what he repeatedly called "my people."
"If the new center of gravity is Younstown, Ohio or Akron, Ohio, maybe we can just start to put this thing back together."
The Democratic presidential candidate, speaking at Politics & Eggs at St. Anselm College, said right now the working class is getting what he called the shaft. And that he'd work to boost domestic production of electric cars.
Ryan also called for the country to harness the power of mindfulness.
"Practices like transcendental meditation, yoga, some of these things that have been been around for two or 3,000 years. How do we continue to research them and then implement the finding into our health care system."
