Obama Veterans: Joe Biden's Pledge to Work With GOP Is Delusional

‘F*ck no,’ one senior Obama aide said when asked about Biden’s claim that the GOP will come around and work with a Democratic president once Trump is gone.

Joe Biden insists that congressional Republicans will work with him once he’s elected president but no one, let alone those who worked with Biden in the last administration, actually believes him.

The former vice president’s latest promise of a forthcoming wave of bipartisan cooperation came on Monday night, when he told a crowd of fundraisers in Washington D.C. that he believed that when Donald Trump left office, GOP lawmakers would see the error of their ways. “[T]hese folks know better,” he explained. “They know this isn’t what they’re supposed to be doing.”

The line echoed comments that Biden reflects a strategy he’s adopted to appeal to voters as a throwback to a less divisive era and is based on the belief that the rest of the political establishment will join him there.

But veterans of the Obama administration say that Biden is either being naive or is willfully selling voters on a political fairytale.

“Fuck no,” one senior Obama aide said when asked if Republicans would be willing to work with a hypothetical President Biden.

and he never gives up on people.. he does not dismiss others if they disagree with him.. he tries to bring them around.. and pays a price for it.. if you think he will not try to convince others.. lose faith in people.. he is always seeing the best in others.. hoping.. then this is not the candidate for you.. (speaking to the general you out there

The one thing VP Biden is to a fault.. is loyal.. and he refuses , absolutely refuses to let the right try and wash away the Obama administration.. and they are giving their best to remove President Obama from history.. and he will not have it.. and President Obama has faith in him.. so if other people in the administration are having issues.. well nothing anyone can do about that..they can find someone they feel easier with.. But Biden will be who he is..

5. Hard not to admire him for all of that. Which makes voting for him if he does get the nomination

easy-peasy. Joe Biden is a good person which is probably the thing this country needs most right now in a President.

I am leaning Buttigieg or Warren right now, but I'd be more than happy if Biden ultimately becomes our candidate in the GE.

I doubt that former Obama aides know anything that Obama's VP does not.

And guess what? What they want matters big time. Hugely.

Past time to wise up? They vote and they're never going away. NEVER.

10% breaking away from the poisonous grip of the far right, back to the moderate right where they used to be, would be a revolution.
