However, I'm known to many of the fundraising consultants, so they suggest that I'm a good prospect. My policy is that I'll take a meeting or a call with anyone, with absolutely no upfront commitments.
FWIW, I've only done placeholder contributions so far (Hickenlooper, Swalwell, Klobuchar, Bennet, Inslee). Like many people in the funding world I know, I'm waiting until the field thins out.

(94,493 posts)I write my own checks. There are fellow funders who I communicate with (we met today to discuss the national Senate field), and occasionally help organize (I set up a private dinner with Buttigieg and some friends last spring), but I'm only good for my own money.
